ASME Design Consulting and Joint Reviews: U, U2, R, S and PP Stamps
For more than a decade, Das And Partners has helped fabrication shops across the UAE and the wider region achieve and maintain ASME certification. Our design-consulting and joint-review service secures the U, U2, R, S and PP Code stamps that open the door to international Oil & Gas, petrochemical and power work.
We are well known to the leading Authorized Inspection Agencies (AIAs), and our engineers work alongside your shop from the first drawing to the final joint review — so certification becomes a planned milestone, not a last-minute scramble.
What the ASME Stamps Mean
Each ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) stamp certifies a specific scope of work:
- U & U2 stamps — fabrication of pressure vessels to ASME Section VIII, Divisions 1 and 2.
- S stamp — power boilers to Section I.
- PP stamp — pressure piping.
- R stamp — repairs and alterations to existing coded equipment (National Board).
Holding the right stamp is often a hard prerequisite on ADNOC, EPC and export projects — it tells clients your shop builds to a globally recognised standard.
How We Help Your Shop Get Certified
Our ASME design-consulting package is built around the certification review itself, and typically includes:
- Design and documentation of a demonstration vessel for fabrication and procurement, used as the basis for your trial and final joint reviews.
- Design calculations and drawings prepared to the applicable ASME Section, with the full calculation package an AIA expects to see.
- Shop visits during the trial and final joint review, working directly with your team and the Authorized Inspection Agency.
- Quality documentation support — aligning your Quality Control Manual, WPS/PQR records and traceability with Code requirements.
Why It Matters
ASME certification is far more than a wall plaque. It unlocks tier-one EPC and operator supply chains, reassures clients during vendor qualification, and reduces rework and inspection friction on every future job. With Das And Partners managing the engineering and review preparation, your shop can focus on what it does best — building.
